The Payne County Board of County Commissioners met in a regular meeting of the board at 9:00 a.m. on May 4th, 2026, at the Payne County Administration Building, Gloria Hesser Commissioners Meeting Room 200/201, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Chairman Zach Cavett called the meeting to order: Meeting called to order at 9:00 a.m.
The following members were present: Zach Cavett Commissioner District 1-Chairman, Seth Condley Commissioner District 2-Vice Chairman, Rhonda Markum-Commissioner District 3-Member, Leslie Echalk-Deputy County Clerk. Invocation by Commissioner Rhonda Markum and Flag Salute to our country led by Dewey Clapp.

Discussion/Possible Action-Potential Office Space for County Civil Attorney: District Attorney elect Jeremiah Gregory addressed the board regarding office space on the third floor of the Administration Building. Gregory stated he would like three (3) of the offices on the third floor for himself, and two (2) part time Assistant District Attorneys once he is either appointed or takes office in January. Motion by Markum to appoint Commissioner Condley to work with Gregory in getting the third floor arranged for incoming District Attorney and Assistant District Attorneys as presented, second by Condley.
